Coupled with an extra flexible BendiReel, the Testrix TX-30R is one of our most popular drain and sewer CCTV camera systems, and now has the ability to navigate around tighter bends, even in smaller diameter pipes and conduits. With an extremely tight bend radius of as little as 7cm through 180 degrees, the BendiReel has the ability to travel into much tighter bends than many standard cables. As in the standard yellow cable system, The TX-30R inspection camera system is fitted with an upgraded 28mm self-levelling camera and an ultra flexible 60 metre metre long cable on a specialised stainless steel frame for ease of use. Housed in a professional ABS hard case, this drain inspection camera system is a complete kit, supplied ready for use. Designed primarily for inspections where tight access is required, such as overflow relief gullies, and tight bends in pipes and ducts, this system will traverse much tighter bends than virtually any other comparable system.
Testrix drain camera heads are manufactured from aluminium alloy materials, which are a lightweight and extremely durable option, and the sapphire glass, which is used to cover the lenses on our cameras is an extremely hard material unlike the cheaper cameras which use lower quality materials, and ultimately will give reduced service life. The control unit has been upgraded to the latest release version, with custom firmware, making it far easier to use, and has a logical layout with a navigation keypad and main functions, such as LED brightness and recording in one place.
A built in 512Hz sonde (radio transmitter) is also installed into the camera head, which allows a locator, such as one of our Radiodetection units from the RD7100 range, or a Testrix low cost locator to be used on the surface in order to locate the position of the camera head. With the camera's position located, the position of any pipe damage or blockages is known, which makes it easy to expose the section of drain or sewer pipe and clear any blockage or repair the pipe more efficiently. A lower frequency sonde (512Hz) enables the signal to pass through materials such as cast iron and ductile steel which will mask the signal from other sondes, and minimises the risk of the signal jumping onto other buried services.
The cable is manufactured from high end materials, and is wound onto a specialised reel system, manufactured from stainless steel for durability and portability. The cable is also thicker than a standard cable to maximise the distance available to the operator, as using a very flexible cable will reduce the distance which the camera can travel. With the additional flexibility, distance will be impacted to some extent, which is dependent of the weight of the camera and the number of bends in the drain or sewer. A distance counter has been incorporated into the cable reel, which gives the user an on screen display of the length of cable inserted into the drain or sewer. when utilising this function, especially in conjunction with a locator, the distance to the problem can be easily available.
This drain camera kit is supplied with a 28mm self-levelling camera, meaning that the image is the right way up every time, even in more complex pipe runs, as when the camera is pushed along tight turns, the rod can turn around through these bends, and the camera is made from aluminium alloy and with a sapphire glass, which is hard and exceptionally durable. The camera head is IP68 waterproof rated, and also resistant to dust, dirt and sand making it suitable for use in and around water.This camera is fitted with 12 LEDs for use in dark drains and sewer pipes, and these also have adjustable brightness, controlled from the main control box, to ensure that the image and videos are optimised for the conditions, allowing undetected details to be picked up. Testrix cameras are fitted with a very wide angle lens, and allow for even closer and detailed inspections of drainage and sewer pipes than is afforded with standard field of view cameras. In order to keep the camera centred within the pipe and away from the pipe bottom which may have a build up of material, the inspection camera system is supplied with 2 skids, which can be easily and quickly fitted to the camera head.
The real time video from the camera is displayed on the largest 15 inch digital colour screen, for maximum screen size in order to make viewing even small details much easier than the smaller screens found on many other systems., and the main menu functions are also driven from this monitor, making this a very easy to use drain cctv camera system, even without any prior instruction or training. The 15 inch screen works well with the higher specification cameras, and is larger than the 7 and 9 inch screens for more information, coupled with the best image resolution. This particular drain camera system can record video and save images to a SD card (up to 32GB), which is inserted into the control box card slot, and then can be downloaded to a PC and emailed to customers or included in reports.
A waterproof QWERTY keyboard is installed into the case, which allows the operator to easily add text and comments into videos and images for explanations and information relating to any potential issues and problems found by the camera.
This inspection system is also powered by a rechargeable high capacity 12V Li-Ion battery pack for complete portability, giving a run time of more than approximately 4 hours per charge.
