The FLIR TG130 Spot Thermal Camera is an entry level, low cost infrared spot camera, designed to be used for simple, everyday thermal temperature measurements. The TG130 can be utilised for various uses where temperature measurement is a necessity, such as energy losses and leaks caused by missing or damaged insulation or door & window leaks as well as food storage and even air conditioning and refrigeration plant performance. Use the TG130 to discover electrical issues affecting appliances.
The FLIR TG130 is a point and shoot, easy to use thermal camera which requires no special training to operate. The operator simply points the TG130 at the target areas, and unlike a standard infrared thermometer, which only measures a single point, the TG130 measures 4,800 temperature points and gives a thermal image on it's 1.8 inch TFT LCD display, which allows you to know where in the TG130's field of view the temperature is being measured. A centre spot measurement displays the temperature on the screen, and pressing the trigger will momentarily freeze the image. Unlike traditional thermal imaging cameras, it s not possible to save thermal images on the TG130 and download them to a PC for analysis and reporting, as the FLIR TG130 is designed to be used in a similar way to a traditional non-contact laser thermometer, but with the added benefit of having the on screen thermal image, showing where the temperature anomalies are located, and allowing them to be quickly measured with very little guesswork.
Based on the FLIR Lepton IR detector, the TG130 can measure temperatures from -10°C to +150°C with a thermal sensitivity of 0.1°C, and has an infrared resolution of 80 x60 pixels (4,800 temperature spots). This allows the TG130 to image relatively small temperature differences, equating into a meaningful image for a wide range of diagnostic and troubleshooting applications. With an overall field of view which is 55° x 43°, the FLIR TG130 can scan wide areas with relative ease and simplicity, highlighting temperature differences which may not be visible with ether the naked eye, or a standard infrared thermometer, and being focus free makes it a case of point and shoot. With no emissivity settings to change, and no focusing, the TG130 is a low cost, simple thermal camera, designed for quick and easy checking of temperatures or thermal heat patterns.
