Construction - RD7100SL:
Accurate, and simple to use, the RD7100SL comes with four active and two passive frequencies which cover the majority of site locating tasks. A rugged IP65 rated housing along with the high contrast screen make it suitable for use in all weather conditions.
Water and Pipeline - RD7100DL(G):
Benefitting from four different sonde frequencies, the RD7100DL can be used to trace deep pipes made from a wide range of materials including cast iron, clay, concrete and brick. Additionally the RD7100DL can also be used to locate Cathodic Protection System (CPS) signals applied to pipelines.
Power - RD7100PL(G):
Designed for use in dense infrastructure where signals from high voltage equipment and cables can be confusing. Dynamic Overload Protection also reduces the effect of electrical noise and interference, while power filters can be used to establish if a single large power signal comes from one source or from multiple cables. Depth in power also allows the user to get depth readings while in power mode without the use of the signal generator.
Telecom - RD7100TL(G):
The RD7100TL features higher frequancies to locate small diameter, high impedance cables among large budled pairs and sonde frequencies for duct and conduit tracing. Higher frequencies can also be used to trace sheathed domestic cables without grounded connections, and cable sheath faults can be located to within 100mm using the 8kHz fault find mode with a Radiodetection A-Frame.

All Radiodetection RD7100 locators have multiple locate modes for faster and easier locating of underground services.
Utilising these different modes ensures that the operator can perform locates with greater accuracy, and with greater speed than ever before. All functionality of the RD7100 locators is displayed on a high contrast large screen, and coupled with the intuitive menu system, each RD7100 is optimised for the job at hand. All Radiodetection RD7100 locators are equipped with a standard set of features which are non industry specific, but still designed to make the RD7100 both functional and powerful. Additionally to these core features, each RD7100 locator is equipped with a set of industry specific features, which are designed to make locating a specific type of utility faster, easier and more precise.
This enables the path of a single utility to be found and traced quickly. Directional information is displayed alongside proportional distance arrows to help locate the utility and then keep you on it's path. The simultaneous display of current and depth gives confidence the correct utility is being traced, even in congested networks.
Combine speed with accuracy as Peak+ mode allows the user to add guidance or null arrows to the accuracy of peak mode. Adding guidance gets you to the peak position faster. Adding null to peak lets you check for signal distortion caused by other utilities or interference.
Simultaneous Depth & Current Readout:
Consistency of depth and current readout measurements gives confidence that you are following the correct line.
Dynamic Overload Protection:
Filters out unwanted interference, such as electrical noise from overhead power lines, or substations and transformers, making it possible to use the RD7100 in a wider range of environments.
As depth readings are only given when the RD7100 is correctly positioned, you can be confident in the result.
E-Cert - Remote Calibration without Downtime
You can verify and certify the calibration of your RD7100 over the internet, using the supplied RD Manager PC software without returning the unit for service. You can save and print a calibration certificate from your home or office and be confident that the RD7100 is always ready for action.
Provides visual and audible warnings when shallow cables are detected, reducing the risk of accidents and expensive damage to utilities.
Power Filters (PL & PLG models):
Conflicting, or powerful signals can confuse or combine to create a wash of signal. Power filters can establish if the power signal comes from one source, or from multiple cables and allows for tracing of power lines using individual harmonics.
iLOC & Sidestep Auto:
Remote control of transmitter functions by a Bluetooth link from the locator, which prevents the operator from having to walk back to the signal transmitter. Tested to work at up to 450m (line of sight). Sidestep Auto shifts the transmitted locate frequency, helping the operator to avoid any interference at the selected frequency (such as from other locators, wireless devices).
All G models (DLG, PLG and TLG) are equipped with GPS. These units can automatically capture key locate parameters each second, providing a comprehensive picture of individual underground locates and allowing for assessment of usage patterns over long periods of time. This data can be used for training or compliance purposes, and to develop the besst working practices, or even shared with clients to evidence task completion and show stakeholders the information they require.
The usage data can be exported in multiple file formats, for example KML maps to show where and when the work was performed.
Available individually, or as part of a kit including a signal transmitter, induction clamp and range of accessories, the RD7100 can be coupled to a range of three different transmitters, offering the user even more flexibility. These transmitters are available in either a 1 watt (TX-1), 5 watt (TX-5) or 10 watt (TX-10) version. Additionally iLOC can be specified with the 5 watt and 10 watt transmitters for remote control of the signal generator fuctions from the locator (receiver). The 5 and 10 watt versions also have Fault Find for location of cable sheath and pipe surface faults, using the optional A Frame.
